Pool trophies aren't limited to overall tournament winners. Organisers can present awards for runners-up, highest break, best newcomer, most improved player and outstanding sportsmanship.
This gives competitors more opportunities to be recognised and can make a tournament more enjoyable for everyone taking part. For regular leagues, annual trophies can also become an important part of the competition's history, with winners' names recorded year after year.
